Propel Fitness Water | Product Review

Like most people, I could certainly use more water on a daily basis. I have nothing against water, but sometimes it’s hard to force myself to drink the required amount when there’s absolutely no taste whatsoever. Unfortunately, most flavored waters I’ve tried have way too much sugar and leave a slightly artificial taste in my mouth when I drink them.

Thankfully, there’s Propel Fitness Water. They’ve changed their bottles recently and discontinued some of my favorite flavor, but the new flavors they’ve introduced sort of make up for it.

For the purpose of this review, I will be reviewing two flavors of Propel: Blueberry Pomegranate and Peach Mango.

Blueberry Pomegranate

Ordinarily, I am not a huge fan of blueberry drinks. However, because my previous experiences with Propel showed the flavors to be light and sweet without being overpowering, I decided to give this variety a chance.

I’m glad I did!

While it’s certainly not my favorite Propel flavor, the taste isn’t that bad. All I could taste was blueberry; to me, there wasn’t really a hint of pomegranate flavor at all. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but rather an interesting point to make note of.

This was also the first time I didn’t finish an entire bottle in one sitting. Luckily, Propel Fitness Water isn’t carbonated, so you can put it back in the fridge without worrying that it will go flat.

Overall, I was pleasantly suprised by this flavor but wouldn’t buy it every time I stock up on Propel Fitness Water.

Peach Mango

First of all, I have to say that I miss the plain peach flavor Propel discontinued. However, when I saw Peach Mango on store shelves I had to give it a try. While nowhere near as delicious as the original peach flavor, peach mango has an interesting flavor combination that’s sweet without being artificially so.

You can definitely taste both flavors with this variety (unlike the blueberry pomegranate,) and it’s very refreshing on a warm summer day. As an experiment, I froze a bottle of peach mango Propel and ended up with a slushie-like consistency and a fresh flavor that was surprisingly good.

What’s interesting about peach mango Propel is the addition of fiber. Most Propel Fitness Waters contain a blend of vitamins and minerals, but this is the only flavor that contains fiber. Whether or not you already eat a high fiber diet, adding this beverage to your dietary habits may help you even more.

Overall, I was pretty pleased with my flavor selections. I definitely think the peach mango was the better of the two I tried for this review, but they both have their positives.

Compared to Water

Even though plain water is better for you than anything else, Propel Fitness Water is one of the best flavored waters I’ve been able to find on the market. At only 25 calories per 20 oz. bottle and 5 to 6 grams of sugar, you are getting the benefits of plain water with a tasty splash of flavor without a lot of sugar or calories.

Have you tried Propel Fitness Water? Are you a fan, and if so, which are your favorite flavors?
